The MEGABLOCK foam cutter is a machine controlled by a computer capable to cut out any 3D objects out of extruded and expanded polystyrene foams. Cutting is done by a hot wire moving in the X-Y plane through the use of a micro stepping motor controlled by a computer. This allows for making fast and precise cutting of the foam material.

The precision control makes it possible to cut objects of nearly any shape given that their thickness is to be the same as the thickness of material used. By designing and cutting various views of one object it is also possible to construct even more complicated 3D objects. Through the use of a turntable (an additional equipment available with our foam cutters), one can also cut out all the solids of revolution, including the sphere.

The MegaCUT Milling and Engraving CNC Router Tables are computer-controlled machines designed for tooling such materials as wood, plywood, PCV, dibond or "soft" metals such as aluminum, bronze, brass or copper. Your project is prepared in e.g. CorelDraw and is then exported to the HPGL.plt format (or in AutoCAD and and saved as dxf).

Such a file is then opened in our in-house written MegaCUT software which comes with each of our CNC Routers . Although our MegaCUT software is extremely user-friendly, it offers a number of features which enable you to configure all the parameters for your project, such as the cutting speed, spindle rotation, order and direction of cutting and many, many others.
